House Premiere

September 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Alright folks… I’m about to do like 10 posts on all the premieres that I’ve been watching. So prepare yourselves!!

In the House season premiere, he’s hanging out in a rehab/mental facility for his addiction to Vicodin. He originally thought he was just getting his visions and weird hallucinations from his drug addiction but it turns out that it was more than just that. It’s all in his head.

House does get clean and we get to watch him go through his detox. We then also get to watch him check himself into a mental facility because his psychiatrist told him that it wasn’t his addiction that was causing all the problems, it was his head problem.

House then prepares to take down the house by terrorizing the doctors and other patients. It’s absolutely ridiculous and I wasn’t sure how I felt about watching 2 hours of House being a dickhead. Of course, he meets a lovely lady and they do the nasty. He’s totally in love with her but then she goes back to her husband and leaves him all sad and vulnerable. Instead of turning to drugs, he goes back to the doctor who’s been helping him and the doc finally decides to let House be a doctor again.

I know I skipped a bunch of stuff but I wanted to give a general idea of what the episode was about. It was pretty annoying with that rapping guy but I guess it was decent compared to some of the other premieres. My husband doesn’t like House’s new haircut but I don’t really think it matters as long as he gets back to Princeton Plainsboro Hospital and continues to act like a maniac.

So there you have it folks… House is cured and he’s going to go back to being an amazing doctor. Will he go back to the drugs? Will he change his doctoring style? Will he be nice? Eh… I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

House season finale

May 15, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I love me some season finales but after that… what the heck am I going to do all summer? :)

Last week on House, we watched as House got sober with Cuddy’s help. Then they did the nasty and got all hot and heavy.

This week, House comes to work after waking up from his Cuddy time and finds her lipstick in his bathroom. He’s so happy that he finally snagged the lady of his dreams. He goes about his day happy as a clam. He gets a case with a dude who can’t control his left hand because of some weird brain surgery.

House tells Wilson that he slept with Cuddy and he’s clean. Wilson is impressed. House wants to know if Cuddy is serious about it and he starts to annoy her in order to get her to fess up that she wants to be with him. By doing this, he slowly comes to the conclusion that he is still hallucinating.

He flashes back to when he told Cuddy off about her child… in his hallucination, she didn’t leave him in her office. She helped him get clean, she was there for him, she slept with him. In reality, she left and he is still on Vicodin and he is still hallucinating. Only this time, Kutner is also there. He realizes that he’s been hallucinating and it’s been so real to him that he can no longer practice medicine. He tells Cuddy that he’s not OK and needs help. Wilson takes him to a rehab facility.

And of this is happening while Chase and Cameron are getting married. Cameron finally decided to destroy her dead husband’s sperm. Chase understands that she just doesn’t want to destroy the last living thing of her loved one and they get married. She looks beautiful and he’s handsome… and House is in rehab.

So will he even be able to practice medicine after this? Will he be back? The show has been renewed for another season so I’m sure he’ll be back but I’m curious to find out in what capacity!

Post suicide episode

April 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I just wanted to mention quickly that I really enjoyed the episode after Kutner’s suicide. I liked seeing how everyone was dealing with it. Thirteen wanted to know more about why Foreman doesn’t speak… Taub is the same… House is acting crazy because he think he’s lost his mojo (and at the end of the episode he also finds out that he’s really losing it!)… Wilson is trying to get House out of his funk… Cameron and Chase are acting like idiots… It was a great episode. I’m glad they didn’t act like it was no big deal because it really was…. oh. And Chase and Cameron are now engaged (ironic as the actors once dated and were engaged and then broke up!)

Saddest episode EVER

April 7, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Wow. I just got done with the last episode of House and it was heartbreaking! House didn’t want to believe that Kutner would kill himself and kept trying to solve his “murder”. Wilson was trying to be House’s friend and was going through the same loss as everyone else. Taub kept pretending that nothing happened and it wasn’t a big deal but ends up breaking down at the hospital because he’s heartbroken that his partner in crime committed suicide. I think the part where I wanted to cry the most was when Remy was standing by herself at the funeral and Foreman came and took her hand in his. I can’t believe it. How sad!! I know they said that someone was going to be leaving the show but who would have guessed that this was how it was going to be done!!

In other news… Click here to read WHY the actor who plays Kutner, Kal Penn, is now working at the White House!! He will be the associate director for the office of public liaison. Good for him! Bad for Kutner…

I’m watching House on Youtube because my DVR didn’t catch this episode (I hate Comcast) and I just nearly died/peed my pants. I can’t believe what happened… I’m only 10 minutes into the episode so I’ll write more later!!!

Forgetful blogger

March 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I feel like I haven’t posted a real post in a while! Oops! I’ve been lazy lately and so I’ve let the blog go. I’ve watched a few shows lately but for some reason, I still haven’t watched Heroes from last week. What is wrong with me!?

Here are a few thoughts on a few shows that I’ve watched recently. Sorry it took so long to pull myself together to post!

  • Private Practice: Addison is now flirting with a married man… not only is he married but he’s married to one of her patients!! I was actually liking the patient AND liking the man who was flirting with her and now I’m not sure how I feel about it at all. According to the previews for next week, it seems that she’s going to want the man and she tells the patient to get a new doctor. Ethical? I don’t think so. Violet doesn’t want a paternity test because she’s a selfish biatch that is getting on my last nerve. Next week on PP:

  • Grey’s Anatomy: Izzie finally found out that she’s got some crazy cancer that has spread to her brain and that the survival rate for this cancer is only 5%. She decides to tell CRISTINA of all people. Cristina is still wanting to Owen even though he practically throws her against a wall when she interrupts one of his crazy dreams. Derek is still acting like a douchebag because he suddenly realized that he’s not God (surprise surprise!!). Meredith is still being the same boring person that she is in every single episode (I swear… if this show wasn’t called “Grey’s” Anatomy, I’d say that it was time to get rid of her).  George is the same ignored character. The chief got on my nerves for being so childish and they are ruining Bailey by making her fight with him and be just as childish as him. Oh man… I have a feeling this show isn’t going up but it’s starting to go down. They need to spice things up a bit. This episode was basically just a bunch of loose ends being tied with no interesting storyline. Boring. Get with the program! Next week on GA:

  • Law & Order: SVU: I’m tired of the Olivia Benson/Elliott Stabler show. Whatever happened to Finn and Munch? I want to see more of them and less of Benson and Stabler. They used to be way better about splitting the cases and now we’ve barely seen the two wacky sidekicks. Also, Alex Cabot, the ADA who was protected by the witness protection program came back after the last ADA (who was incredibly boring and didn’t have chemistry with anyone on the show) left to go back to Washington, DC. Alex is off her game and the cops are wondering why she didn’t come back when she got out of witness protection 3 years ago. I wonder the same thing… Oh well, we’ll see how long she lasts since they are calling her “temporary” as of now.
  • House: House and Wilson go see his brother in NYC. Wilson’s brother is off his rocker and House is kinda there for Wilson to lean on. It’s nice to see them out of the hospital. I’m not sure if that happened this week or last week! We finally got a break from watching Foreman and 13 do their thing… which makes me happy. Oh yeah, there’s a case with a man who can’t stop saying what he’s thinking.  He’s alienating his wife and child but he just can’t stop. He’s House! It’s great. I love the comedic timing that this actor has and all the jokes that were told that are basically what the rest of us are thinking but nobody says. I am really enjoying the humor that the writers try to infuse into the show. It makes it different from all the other doctor shows out there.  I can’t wait for next week’s episode:

  • Bones: I wish the people producing/directing/writing the show could figure out who they want to replace the crazy dude (Dr. Zack Addy) who went to prison for being a serial killer apprentice. Instead, every week we have a different quirky person there and we wonder “is he forever?” but he’s NOT. And then the next week we get another quirky person and bla bla bla. It’s getting old. Bones and Booth are still the same with their great chemistry. Sadly, we haven’t seen much of Angela lately and that makes me sad because she’s quite interesting. I wish they’d give her another story. I also wish that she was still with Hodgins because I think he’s the funnest person on the show. Is it me… or has there not been an episode of Bones for a while until Thursday? I can’t remember! Next week on Bones:

  • Criminal Minds: We finally got a storyline that was based around Emily Prentiss’ personal life. When she was a teen, she had an abortion and her best friend who helped her take care of it was also a Catholic. She leaned on him and it made him question his faith when the church wasn’t so cool with the abortion. In the end, the best friend was murdered during an “exorcism” by a priest who was wacko. The team then sets off to find out how they can collar this bad priest and we get to see Prentiss freak out and be the control biatch that she is. It was nice to see her in another light because she was getting pretty bland. I still like Spencer the best and hope we get another story with him soon. I also wouldn’t mind if we got a story that put Hotchner back with his wife and kid. Wouldn’t that be lovely? Next week on Criminal Minds:

I’m also needing to catch up on Law & Order, CSI: NY, CSI, Heroes, Lie to Me, and Ugly Betty… I may have missed a couple because I’m off my game. Argh!

Withdrawal!

February 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I’m on vacation in Texas right now visiting the family and I’m having TiVo withdrawals! I haven’t watched OLTL in 2 weeks! I haven’t seen the Young and the Restless in 2 weeks! I haven’t seen Days of our Lives in 2 weeks! What the hell is wrong with me!? :) I can’t wait to get home simply to see my TiVo and hug my remote. Just kidding (or am I?)

Since being on vacation, I have had the opportunity to watch a few shows. I don’t really have time to make a bagillion posts so I’ll roll them all into one for today. :)

Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice:

Apparently Derek was a god and was able to save Archer from his mess of worms in his brain. I was a bit sad about it because I think Archer is an annoying baby. Of course, Archer thought that Derek was an idiot and missed stuff and thought he was going to die and then he started to spout off all kinds of crazy stuff about how sorry he was… That was pretty pathetic but then he realized he wasn’t dying (because Derek is a god) and then he realized that he loves Naomi. Weird.

Anyway… Derek still hasn’t proposed to Meredith. Izzie thinks she’s ok but she’s having some problems with depth perception and other strange things are happening. She does, however, play a game with the interns and that was pretty cute. I think the best part about it was that Cristina had testicular cancer in the game. :) Cristina and Owen are kinda rocky to start off the episode but then they get better because she realized that she’s with the man that he is now and his ex-fiancee wants what he used to be… and that is no longer him.

I watched this right before we left for the airport so I’m trying to remind myself what happened… Sorry if I miss something. Violet wants to take a baby away from a mother who is suffering from post partum psychosis. It’s pretty sad and she’s quickly becoming an annoying pregnant woman. Pete is there to act like a jerk again and lay his claim on the baby. Other baby daddy is nowhere to be seen. Private practice is so boring compared to Grey’s Anatomy. I think there’s another week of them together next week. (Side note… I don’t like that they are giving Derek a god complex. Blah.) Here’s the preview for tonight’s episode:

House:

It’s between 13 and Foreman. I wish they would both go because they are incredibly boring. Instead, they fight and pretend that they are broken up so that House feels better about himself. House is also conflicted about going to see Cuddy’s baby… Of course, he hearts Cuddy and totally wants to be there and she wants him there but instead he plays sad songs on his piano while getting drunk at his house (with no hookers, might I add!) I like House but I’d really enjoy seeing him with Cuddy for more than just their little petty fights. Also, can’t we just get rid of Cameron and Chase? I mean, Chase is a hottie and all but Cameron is boring and also thinks that she knows best. Next week is an episode on a hermaphrodite and House stops breathing.

The Mentalist:

After watching that little youtube clip about the 5 reasons to love Patrick Jane (he’s so hot!) I can’t stop thinking about that during the episodes of The Mentalist.  I wish they would make Patrick fall for his boss lady (her name slips my mind at the moment) because I think they would make a cute couple. In this week’s episode, the tall cop man (don’t know his name either) is investigating the murder of a country club socialite. In the end, he totally falls for one of the older women and his work conquest (young redhead cop… can’t remember her name either… jeez) is almost looking sad. The second best part of this show (after Simon Baker’s fine self) is the asian cop. I love how he’s got such a dry sense of humor. He’s pretty awesome. I found some awesome youtube clips of Simon Baker on the Ellen show. Watch them!

Other shows I was able to watch a quick comments…

Law & Order. I’m not sure if this is correct or not… but it seems like Jack McCoy is giving up on the office when he finally decides that the case can’t be tried because there’s no way to prove if one person is completely guilty and there are two suspects. Will this be the end of him on the show? Is he leaving?

NCIS. I loved seeing Tony as the main lead on the case. I thought it was pretty sad when he put that dude in prison for 3 years but he was a pretty big douche so I guess he deserved it. The best part of the episode was watching Gibbs be one of the people on the team and participating in the campfire. Pretty dorky and shocking (for viewers and his team!)

The Closer. Amy Sedaris, we love you. Who doesn’t love Amy Sedaris? She played the future sister-in-law who also happened to be an “intuitionist” (aka psychic!) She “helped” with the case that Brenda was investigating while entertaining everyone on the team. She even had them draw up Will Pope as the killer by a sketch artist. Awesome. If you haven’t watched the episode but like Amy Sedaris, it’s totally worth it. :)

That’s all for this week so far. I’m going to try and watch GA and PP tonight but we’ll see what happens. Keep it real everyone… and I’ll be back in Boston in front of my TV soon enough, I promise!

Did anyone else notice yesterday during the Super Bowl that Pittsburgh’s coach, Mike Tomlin looks like Eric Foreman on House?

House romance

November 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I see that 13 has finally agreed to get treatment for her Huntington’s… Is this the beginning of the romance that was speculated between her and Foreman??

Also, apparently next week’s episode is a lot about House and Cuddy sharing an office… which of course means flirting and fights. Woohoo!

Cameron and Chase are also highlighted in the upcoming episode when a case revolves around one of Cameron’s former patients.
