So I have totally been watching TV, I promise… I am just not glued to my computer anymore. I guess that could be a good thing or a bad thing. I do miss listening to the radio all day and watching so many TV shows but I am also glad to be moving around more and losing weight from simply not being sitting around all day. So… here are a few thoughts on some shows I’ve been watching and a few thoughts on other stuff I’m sure you want to read about…
Heroes:
I love Peter Petrelli. Honestly, without him, I wouldn’t watch the show.
I read that they are going to kill off a Hero this season and I think it’ll be Hiro. It’s supposed to be one of the original heroes and that it’ll affect quite a few people. Makes me kinda sad but Hiro’s been getting pretty darn annoying lately. At least we haven’t had to watch Ando… which kinda makes things better.
Claire’s lesbian kiss was weird and they didn’t even address it after it happened. Very very weird. Also probably unnecessary. Anyone else with me on that one? If they are going to develop a gay storyline, they should do it right, not sloppy.
Sylar. WELCOME BACK BABY! I love Sylar and I’m happy that he’s having a come back.
I think the carnival people are a bit freaky and weird and I’m not sure if I like them yet. That head leader guy seems like a real douche. I don’t know if I think that because I’m supposed to think that or if it’s just something that I’m catching that others don’t agree on. Eh…
Can’t wait til tonight’s Halloween episode!
Castle:
I stopped watching Castle after the 2nd episode of the season and I don’t even miss it. I do follow Nathan Fillion on Twitter so I guess that makes it OK for me to quit. Sorry Nathan. I loved you on OLTL but Castle is just another boring procedural show.
90210:
I haven’t seen a single episode this season nor have I heard anything about any of the episodes. I’m guessing that it’s not that interesting… which doesn’t surprise me since the first season was only so-so.
Bones:
Are we ever going to get some Booth and Brennan action? I know that everyone said that Booth would get over his love for Brennan but it doesn’t look like it’s going away. Will it ever go away? Are we ever going to see them together?
I LOVED the storyline about the devout muslim who faked an accent. How awesome was that!? Living in a state where religious is pretty much ridiculed, I completely understand why someone would do that. I hate it when people criticize my faith. Who are they to decide what I should believe in? Yay writers of that episode!
Annoying screechy girl is back. You know the one, the psychiatrist’s girlfriend. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing but I did have a good laugh when Bones and that girl were going a bit apeshit over the cover of some anthropological magazine. Lovely entertainment.
Criminal Minds:
I’m tired of Hotchner. I wish he’d leave the show. Maybe he can go where his ex-wife and kid are? I’d really like that.
The girl who plays JJ has lost weight. She looks lovely. I also love the bangs on her.
CSI:NY:
I find it very unbelievable when characters on TV are paralyzed and the next day they are walking with a cane. Get real folks. It’s not very believable at allllllllllll… Ugh!
I should quit this show because it’s getting pretty lame. Sad!
Gossip Girl:
I heard that the show has lost a lot of viewers. It doesn’t surprise me. It’s like Dawson’s Creek. It does well when they are in high school and then when they go to college, it’s totally lame.
Blair and Chuck are pretty boring. Blair manipulates Chuck, Chuck manipulates Blair… what else is new?
Serena is still lame and retarded. Why do they write her as a complete idiot?
I like Hilary Duff’s character. I hope she’s around all season.
Law & Order: SVU:
Yay the evil witch DA is gone! I hated her from the moment she arrived. Of course, my husband said that I was supposed to hate her… so I guess I did a good job!
I would like a few Finn and Munch episodes, please. Give Olivia and Elliott a break please!
Lie to Me:
The season has been OK. I could probably quit this show too because it’s not that awesome.
Are the two owners of the Lightman group going to hook up? I think they want each other deep deep down inside. Anyone else with me on that one?
Mad Men:
Holy smokies! This show is so freaking awesome.
I love to hate Don Draper but I also hate to love him! It’s so frustrating!
I wish Betty would have slept with that politician guy. It would have been so nice to see after watching Don cheat on her time and time again.
I don’t like the name Eugene either so I don’t blame Don for hating it.
Does anyone else think that Don hates Roger because Roger is just an older version of Don? Don probably sees himself in Roger in the mistakes that he’s made. Can’t wait to see that blow up!
There are only 2 episodes left and I haven’t even watched the one from last night. What the heck am I waiting for?
Medium:
I finally started watching the new CBS season of Medium. It’s ok. Another show that I could probably drop. Honestly, why do I keep saying that and I don’t actually drop them?
Patricia Arquette has new hair.
The acting is just as unstimulating. Eh.
I’ll give it a bit longer before I give up.
NCIS:
Ziva is back and I still love the dynamic that she has with Dinozzo. I wish they’d finally kiss and make up and do the nasty. You know they want to. Has anyone else noticed a theme in pretty much all shows? There’s always a hero and heroine that love each other but don’t admit it. Oh the sexual tension!
Private Practice:
Violet is annoying with her whole “my baby was cut out of me and I’m crazy now” story. I wish she’d just be cured already. Maybe this week after the trial she’ll look at her kid?
The dude from Wings is also getting pretty annoying. I liked him better as the playboy. He’s now just a boring dad. Eh. See what kids do to you? It’s not pretty.
Please give Addison a love interest. Give her that heart surgeon, give her a new man… give her someone. I’m tired of listening to her feel sorry for herself.
The Mentalist:
Simon Baker is hot. I love him. I would totally have his babies… but the show is getting old real fast.
I will probably keep watching it though because Simon Baker is hot and I love him and want to have his babies.
Please not that babies make people boring (see Private Practice notes above) so I don’t really want his babies.
Simon Baker is hot hot hot.
Ugly Betty:
At the end of last season, I was ready to give up on Ugly Betty. Happily, the season started and it was better than I anticipated. I like that Betty’s look is changing. I like that her ex is a dorky douche. I like that she’s friends with her old boss. I like that she’s been promoted!
I still love Mark and that blond chick. Honestly, I can’t think of her name but she’s gorgeous (Becky Newton is the actress). Oy. Anyway, they are still awesome. But I do think that Mark needs some kind of promotion as well. He deserves it.
Wilhemina’s daughter’s murder storyline is lame. But I’ll take it because the rest is good.
Will Daniel get another love interest? Hmmmm…
Grey’s Anatomy:
I like the way they are hiding Ellen Pompeo’s surgery and hope that they can keep it up nicely until her return from maternity leave (which you won’t actually see because they were pretty clever when getting the schedule done)
I’m happy that Izzie is gone but I’m sad to learn that she’s coming back. Boring!
Alex needs a new love. I thought I liked him with Izzie but it’s just lame now. They made him into a jerk jerk and not a fun jerk. I liked him with Addison. Too bad she’s in LA and he’s in Seattle. Lame!
Bailey is not up to the normal standards these days. I wish they’d pull her back together, give her a bit more comedy and let her care again.
I kinda miss George.
I still hate the new folks from the other hospital.
I will probably post about my soaps later but my hubby is waiting to hang out and today is his birthday so I guess he deserves a bit of my attention! Take it easy folks and I swear I’ll try and post more often. Maybe I’ll start doing a once a week thing? Mondays maybe? That could totally be easier than writing a post for every show. Hmmm… I might be on to something! Maybe I’ll even start rating the weeks to see which weeks are better for each show!
Last night I finally watched the Gossip Girl season 3 premiere. I don’t know what I think about it.
Here’s a run down of the stuff we got to view:
Jenny and Eric are still buddy buddy and they are covering for Serena. Jenny also seems to love the rich life.
Dan is also living the rich life and riding around in a limo and wearing expensive clothing.
Serena is living it up in Europe and her family is covering for her because she said that she was in an Ashram… What an idiot. Of course, we have to watch her make a fool of herself over and over throughout the entire episode. It’s annoying and she’s the most lame character on earth.
Chuck and Blair are still together but they are playing games… games where Chuck pretends to pick up ladies and bring them home but then Blair finds them and busts them. Then the couple get it on as if it’s some kind of crazy fun game. Weird.
Serena is followed by the papparazzi and we have to watch it all happen.
Serena makes Blair doubt herself and Blair goes all weird on Chuck.
Chuck still loves Blair even if they don’t play their games.
Nate is hooking up with the enemy (Some other rich family’s estranged daughter.)
Lily is taking care of her mother (who is very ill) – aka maternity leave
Rufus is trying to hold the family together
Rufus and Lily’s long lost son (who they believe is dead) is really hooking up with Vanessa. She thinks he’s just another guy but he has ulterior motives.
Vanessa and Dan have a sort of falling out.
Ok… so that was basically the episode but not in that particular order. I wasn’t really impressed with it and I don’t think other people were either because apparently the viewership on this show went down 35% of so from last season! I guess nobody cares what happens to these rich bitch kids once they go to college. Don’t they know that everyone starts from scratch in college and nobody cares if you are rich?!? Or something like that…
Next week, we’ll get to see the kiddies go off to college. Excited? I’m not.
At first I was going to write a post for each show’s finale but I’ve been watching so many and not posting that I figured I’d put them all together there… So here goes!
Gossip Girl: First, I want to talk about the flash back episode. I didn’t enjoy the scenes with Lily as a young girl at all. I thought they were kinda boring and I didn’t like her relationship with her sister since we clearly don’t see it now and I feel like it’s all fake. I am happy that they ditched the new spin off with young Lily. Lame.
Ok. Season finale. Serena acts like a huge twat at graduation because someone said that she would be irrelevant next year when she goes to college. I think Serena is the most BORING person on Gossip Girl so I wouldn’t mind if she went to Brown and never came back. Strangely, she’s the only one who’s really leaving town next year! Blair tells Chuck that she loves him and right as he’s about to tell her the same thing, Gossip Girl tells everyone how Chuck slept with Vanessa and Blair slept with Jack (Chuck’s uncle). Uh oh! So they have a falling out and Chuck leaves in a huff. Graduation continues as usual. Blair blames Serena’s ugly face for all the problems with Gossip Girl. Finally, they find out that Gossip Girl is following them to college. Huzzah? Chuck also declares his love to Blair after he can’t get her out of his head. The “cliffhanger” at the end is Serena going off to find her father. Dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnn… Lame. See you next year in college.
The Mentalist: Red John is back in town and is trying to trap Patrick Jane. Patrick is acting like a complete ass face and the episode barely had any fun in it. Turns out that Red John had an accomplice and they kidnapped 2 teens. They killed one and the other was a prize for the accomplice. Patrick even picks up a gun to protect Lisbon in this episode. He looks devastated that he did it but he killed someone. I was really hoping for a bit more of a light hearted episode but I guess it is the season finale and all… looks like Red John will be back next year. I don’t really care as long as Simon Baker’s hotness returns as well!
NCIS: Dinozzo goes to Ziva’s apartment to question her about Rivkin… and then he proceeds to shoot and kill him. Oops. Ziva freaks out and before she knows what’s going down even tried to get Rivkin out of the country. Unfortunately, this means that the team must go to Tel Aviv in order to put stuff back in place. The dad from the OC is Ziva’s father and he acts all macho. Ziva has a huge conflict with Dinozzo and no longer trusts him. She feels like she has been betrayed by everyone except Gibbs. In the end, they find out that Rivkin was rogue and was doing dumb shit… but that there was no way to protect him… Oh wait… was he rogue or was he working for Ziva’s father? Hmmm… Well, he was trying to help Ziva’s dad find out about a terrorist cell in Africa and Abby does her magic and gets the info. As the director gives him the info, the team is getting back on a plane to the states. Ziva makes Gibbs choose between her and Dinozzo and he chooses Dinozzo (duh… he’s American and in the NCIS… unlike her!) She looks disappointed and the team goes back without her. Everyone’s sad that Ziva is not in Washington with them… and then they flash to Ziva on a ship doing her work. Her father is in his office thinking about her as well (maybe?) Then they flash to Dinozzo waiting for Ziva to call or thinking about calling her and he tells Gibbs that she’ll call when she’s ready. The ending scene is a couple men beating someone who’s tied up asking “Tell us everything you know about NCIS” and Ziva’s face is all busted up. Will she be back next year? Will she now know that she can trust NCIS and not her father?
There are some rumors floating around that Kristen Bell has been seen on set of Gossip Girl. Could this be for the season finale when Serena tries to unmask the GG herself?? Apparently she’s not set to be on screen but I don’t believe all the spoilers and rumors that I read. I would LOVE to see KB appear on the episode even if it is only to taunt Serena.
This week on Gossip Girl, we watched Jenny act like a childish brat. She was given a party (I guess she didn’t want it… but still!) and she ruined it by posting it on gossip girl’s website and then she couldn’t deal with the chaos that followed. Blair and Nate are back together and it’s really strange to see them together. Vanessa and Chuck wanted to get back at them so they showed up together at Jenny’s party and it did make both Blair and Nate jealous but not jealous enough that they would break up. In the end, Vanessa and Chuck slept together and holy crap they have chemistry! They are actually an interesting couple and I’m excited to see where this ends up going. Vanessa wants to keep it a secret which is great for Chuck because he’s all about the secrets… but wouldn’t it be awesome if he fell for her?
Rufus realizes that he doesn’t have the moolah to send Dan to Yale so he thinks about selling his loft. Jenny finds out and acts like a normal teen and says that she doesn’t want to move to the Upper East Side. Can you blame her? Dan gets some “fan” mail from someone and to make himself feel better, he calls the dude back only to have us find out that the person who sent the mail is Scott… Dan’s long lost half brother. Scott’s parents try to hide it from him again but it seems that he’s onto something.
Next episode seems to be filled with equal excitement… Check it out below. Oh by the way, GG won’t be back for another 3 weeks. I hate these long breaks but the season will end with 5 new episodes back to back. Huzzah.
On GG this week, Nate goes back to his roots and gets jiggy with his Vanderbilt self. He goes running back to his grandfather who runs his life. Boring. Vanessa gets thrown aside (as usual)… and then at the end of the episode, Nate stays with Blair. Eek!
Chuck realized that he wants Blair back because she’s good for him… but she’s on a downward spiral now. She’s not going to Yale, she’s not going anywhere! She eventually tries to ruin her own reputation but it doesn’t work because Chuck stops her. He tries to be with her in the way she needs but she throw him aside (usually the other way around) and tries to jump into Nate’s panties.
Serena is her usual boring self. She’s on this episode just to prop up Chuck, Blair and Dan. Dan is actually on the episode to prop up Nate and Vanessa. Serena and Dan are boring. I wish they’d just go away to college and never come back.
Rufus and Lily share their “lists” of lovers over the years and they fight because Lily has opened her legs one too many times (including Trent Reznor!? Ew.) In the end, all is happy and rosy between them. Story of their lives.
Finally! Gossip Girl is back after what feels like a super super long hiatus!
The seniors are putting on some weird ass play with some strange director… Serena is macking on the director (who’s gay), Vanessa and Nate are still together (and sickneningly sweet), Dan is still sleeping around with teacher lady, Jenny is making costumes for the play, Blair gets screwed over again, and Chuck gets a taste of his own medicine when he’s used and thrown away by some chica who’s slutty.
The best part of the episode (of course) is when Chuck goes over to Blair’s apartment and waits for her even though she’s out with this Carter guy (who’s a complete sleaze). I love Chuck and Blair together so I’m looking forward to seeing that come together… and it’s nice that things aren’t going as easy for Chuck as he wishes because he deserves a bit of misery after ditching Blair the way he did.
Blair’s acceptance to Yale got rescinded because Ms. Teacher was a slutbag and told Yale why she got detention. In the end, Blair doesn’t even retaliate because she realizes that she brought it all on herself by being such a biatch her entire high school career. I guess karma’s a bitch after all!
Serena is still single. She pined over the silly director to find out that he was gay and in the end, she seemed ok with it. I like her better when she’s single because then she’s not acting like some dependent freak. Let her be single and have a little bit of fun. She deserves it.
Looks like next week Blair and Nate hook up. Check it out:
New teacher lady, Rachel, is pretty skanky. Instead of giving you a review of what happened, I just wnat to talk about how gross and weird it is for Dan to be sleeping with his teacher. Yes, she may not think she’s a teacher anymore… but that means that she’s over 22 (graduated college) and that he’s under 18 because he’s in high school… so doesn’t that mean that it’s illegal? Just saying.
Ew.
One thing I am happy about, however, is that Serena and Dan are over… AGAIN. Are they going to really force us to have to do this crap over and over and over every 2 months? I hope not! I’m guessing that Dan is going to stay with Rachel the child molester and they are going to keep it secret while they are sneaking behind the school’s back. You know what I’m saying? I bet we’ll see some sex on campus at Constance too. Ew.
Now all we need is Blair to get back with Chuck… except that they are going into some weird stuff with him and I have a feeling he and Blair are over… but we’ll see! Also, what’s up with the happy couple? Vanessa and Nate are boring and something needs to spice them up before they become the weak link on the show.
I can’t find a clip for next week so I guess there isn’t one? Argh. I hate the spring when they have all these crazy breaks and shit in the middle of the season.
