Days’ actor cast on 90210

Some cute dude from Days, Trevor Donovan, has just been cast as a hunky character on 90210. He will be playing the newer better version of Ethan. Sounds like fun! Good luck to him!

I’m not dead! I swear!

I know I haven’t posted a real post in a long time but lots of crap has been going on. One, I think I have the swine flu or something equally shitty because I haven’t been able to eat in 5 days. I did lose weight (huzzah!) but I feel like shit (boo!) So I’d rather be fat than feel like this. Anyway, I’m still not feeling well but at least I’ve been home all week and able to catch up with my soaps and shows. There aren’t many shows because it’s summer time but I thought I’d do a little post on some of the stuff going on on my shows.

OLTL:

• Marcie and Michael got their miracle pregnancy. Huzzah. I never thought I would actually want them to be happy and have a baby but they got it and I’m happy for them. I hope that someday the writers pull their heads out of their asses and bring them back… Oh and when they do it, they better bring back Kathy Brier or I’ll be pissed. KB MADE the role of Marcie and nobody could fill her shoes! I enjoyed their closing storyline of giving the baby back and then getting a job at Seattle Grace. I hope Marcie digs hanging out with Mer and Der.
• Jessica and Brody. Loving them. I’m so glad they are still together and they weren’t somehow pulled apart by the whole baby switch, mental breakdown, funeral stuff. I’m happy that they are together and hopefully they can heal together now too.
• Jared and Natalie… I was disappointed that we didn’t get a daytime wedding (there just aren’t enough of those… especially on morbid OLTL) but I’m glad they finally got hitched and we aren’t seeing too much of them lately.
• Stacy and Rex. Barf. She’s so sleezy. Not only is she sleezy but she’s a terrible actress! I haven’t seen Crystal Hunt make more than one facial expression the entire time she’s been on OLTL. I wish she had stayed on whatever other soap she was on before this. She’s an embarassment to the show and I hope that she leaves pronto. Of course, Rex also sleeps with Stacy so that’ll cause a bump in the road on the recovery of Rex and Gigi’s relationship.
• Shane. Thank you for not showing me so much of Shane. Yes, I know he’s sick. bla bla bla… but he’s BORING. And he’s not a very good actor… so I’m relieved that they finally got themselves settled down and stopped showing us the bratty little kid.
• Matthew and Destiny. Please make it happen and do it quick.
• Markko and Langston. I’m happy that there’s a huge problem in their happy little lives. It’s about time something goes wrong… and I mean VERY wrong. Not that Lola crap.
• Dorian acting like a fool over a man. WTF? Seriously? Isn’t this Dorian Lord we’re talking about?
• Cole gets sentenced to 2 years in prison. Thank you. Of course, this means that John McBain will find a way to help Cole out of it but at least he was sentenced in the first place. Honestly, I wish John McBain would just die.

Days:

• Sami and Rafe are pretty cool together. I was pretty sad when the baby died and I’m digging how Rafe is being the strong and manly man that he is. I don’t like Roman’s attitude towards Rafe as if Roman gives a crap about Sami or anyone else at all. Also, the actor who plays Roman is a joke.
• EJ finding out that Grace was his. Awesome stuff. I can’t wait to see what else will happen between him and Sami as they battle it out over Johnny.
• Stefano and Nicole are in cahoots. How awesome is that!? I thought for sure that Stefano was going to freak out on Nicole and use her as a pawn for one of his plots in the future but it seems that he has EJ in mind and he’s trying to protect the family. So he’s being very supportive and helping her get away with her scheme. Can’t wait for it all to come out and Sami to come out the victor.
• Stephanie’s on drugs. Good job. I would be too if I lived with Victor Kiriakis. Although Philip is hot.
• Max and Chelsea are gone. Bye bye. Please take Melanie with you. Oh wait, she’s staying for this Nathan kid.
• Nathan Horton is back in town… he’s supposed to be a med school student but he looks more like a Salem H.S. student. Lame.
• Lucas/Chloe/Daniel/Kate. I fast forward through them because they are so god damn boring. I hate them all. Make them go away.

Y&R:

• Adam… please don’t let him get caught!!! I am really enjoying Adam’s gaslighting of Ashley and all the crap he’s pulling. I’m really rooting for him!
• Ashley. What happened to her? She’s such a weenie now! I’m not excited about the way her character is going now that she’s with Victor and all wussy like.
• Please please please don’t write Nikki Newman off the show!!!
• Sharon is a slut. I can’t believe she’s been hoing around town like this and now she’s got Nick. Ew. Hopefully they can get a house together on the outskirts of town… or in another town… or in another state…
• Phyllis and Jack together… HOTNESS. I wasn’t watching Y&R when they were together but I LOVE them together now.
• Mary Jane is a psycho and it makes me feel very uncomfortable to watch her be all crazy. I guess this means that the actress is doing a good job. Apparently in a past life, she was named Patty and she was Jack’s ex-wife/Paul’s sister. Weirdness!
• Daniel/Jana/Kevin/Amber: Can’t you give these kids a break? I feel like I’m seeing too much of them on my screen and they are always acting like wanna be heroes when they are just lunatics who make everyone in their 20s look bad! Please help them have normal lives!
• Philip Chancellor III: I wasn’t watching when he was on a long time ago… but please bring him back to GC and make him AWESOME. Make him bitter and angry and not want anything to do with his family! Do it! Ruin Cane! He’s so lame anyway!

Other shows…

The Closer is back and I’m already excited about the season to come. I was so sad when the cat was sick at the end of the first episode. Of course, my husband figured out the entire crime after the first 5 seconds of the show so that kinda ruined it for me but I still loved watching it. It’s nice to see the crew back on my screen.

I’m 2 episodes behind on The Listener but I swear I’ll get to them soon…

I found a new show, thanks to my sister, called Royal Pains. It’s about a concierge doctor service in the Hamptons. Very interesting and funny stuff. I’ve just watched 2 episodes so I can’t tell you too much about it yet. I will be watching it more as the summer goes on though.

I’ve also set a recording for Whale Wars on Animal Planet. I’m not sure how I feel about these people going a little apeshit on people killing whales but whatever… It could be good entertainment.

I’ve also discovered a new show thanks to my On Demand menu! It’s called Cook Yourself Thin. I watched 5 or 6 episodes and I really enjoyed it. I thought the women on the show were a bit chatty and annoying at times but the recipes seemed pretty good. They were simple with delicious ingredients and they definitely seemed like something I could do myself. I plan on trying one of their recipes for dinner next week. Maybe I’ll post pictures once I’m done… Just maybe! I’ve also requested their book from the library. Let’s hope it doesn’t suck!

Not much else is going on with me. The Bachelorette is still going on. I haven’t posted about this week because I was sick and somehow my DVR didn’t record it… so I had to watch it on ABC.com while I was dying and I didn’t feel like posting. Basically Ed left because he had to go back to work… which is too bad because he’s really cute. And some other guy left who I can’t remember so he must not have been that memorable!! Wes, the douchebag with a girlfriend and an alterior motive, is still around and he makes me want to puke. I hope his CD fails. A lot.

Wayyyy behind!

I haven’t watched OLTL in nearly two weeks now. I can’t seem to bring myself to do it and I freaking love that show. It’s terrible… This means that I don’t care about the promos that are coming out! Argh!

I was also forced to watch Days by a friend of mine and I was pretty tortured. I thought I would enjoy the story of EJ and Nicole getting married… but it was boring. I feel like we’ve been going over the same thing over and over and over every single week. Mia wants her baby. Mia goes to talk to Nicole. Mia demands to get her baby back. Nicole talks her down. Mia leaves. Mia wants her baby. Mia goes to talk to Nicole… you get the idea. It’s also the same with Nicole and EJ. EJ doesn’t trust Nicole… Nicole gets that guilty look on her face… EJ questions Nicole. Nicole freaks out and yells a lot.  EJ caves and they kiss and make up. Then something happens and EJ doesn’t trust Nicole again. It goes on and on and on…

Now it seems like Sami and Rafe are doing the same thing. Sami says something to piss Rafe off… then he takes off like a baby and later they make up. It’s over and over and over. At first, I thought I saw the spark between these two but now I don’t see it at all. In fact,  I don’t really see Sami having a spark with anyone in Salem. It’s fairly boring. I’m actually hoping that Rafe leaves her and she’s all by herself with that DiMera baby.

I truly believe that the only reason I’m still paying attention is because I want Sami and Nicole’s secrets to come out and ruin their lives. I want to see Nicole tossed out on her ass by the DiMeras and Sami to get bitched out by EJ and then forgiven and accepted as part of the clan again. EJ and Sami are way better together than Nicole and EJ. Argh… I can’t believe I just said that… but it’s true!

The only soap that I’ve actually WANTED to watch lately is The Young and the Restless. I’m kinda enjoying Mack’s return. Yes, the actress who plays her is bland and a bit weird, but I like how it throws a wrench in Chloe’s plan. She thinks she’s so smart but she’s just a little idiot waiting to be put in her place. Can’t wait til she catches Mack and Billy together. I also FLOVE Phyllis so I’m excited that she and Nick are getting some action in their marriage. I think that Michelle Stafford is doing an amazing job as a crazy Phyllis and give her many kudos for that! Sharon, on the other hand, is not cool when she does crazy. Her crazy is more equal to annoying. Oh well… I saw on my SOD this week that Nick picks Phyllis (YEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!) I’m excited to see that go down and watch Sharon’s pathetic hopes be crushed. Yes. I’m mean and evil.

One of the things I like about this show is that we don’t see the teens that much. I’m so thankful that we don’t get much Noah and Eden because they are just as annoying as all the other teens on other shows. But the 20 something scene is getting a lot more scenery chewing time. Kevin is locked up in the looney bin and he gets more time on the screen than the other 20 somethings. He just sits there and stares. It’s hard for me to watch which makes me realize that Greg Rikkart is doing a bad ass job playing whacked-out Kevin. Good job! I wasn’t watching when Michael was like his savior so I’m a bit annoyed that Michael thinks he’s some kind of God in that department but I don’t know the history so you can just ignore that.

I’m also excited to hear that Murphy and Kay will be married. I wish Victor and Nikki would get back together too though because Nikki and Paul are boring and Victor and Ashley are also boring. I think it would bring some excitement back to their scenes together…. but I suspect that “being friends” for them will be hard… and maybe they’ll end up together sooner than we all hope? One can only hope.

Ok… enough rambling for now.

I found this on Arianne Zucker’s myspace page (after I had a dream that I met her… I swear I have the weirdest dreams ever!) It’s a mini episode of Life in General called “Out of Control”. I really enjoyed it and I think that anyone who loves soaps would enjoy it as well.

Well, we’ve apparently seen the last of John and Marlena on Days of our Lives.

Last night I dreamed that I met James Scott in a hotel while on a family vacation (strangely enough, I wasn’t married in this dream). Not only did I meet him but he was totally into me. Yeah. We totally flirted and you know… we did that thing that gets done in the elevators in Salem during power outages. Hahaha! Oh and I forgot to mention that he had good hair. I guess they let him cut his crazy hair for my dream. Phew! I bet my husband is thrilled! I also think I watch way too much TV that I dream about actors.

Days Spoilers

• Dr. Taylor tries to convince John to leave town with her (skank).
• Brady breaks into Dr. Taylor’s office and finds the tape of the session and shares it with Marlena.
• Charlotte tries to poison Marlena but John comes to the rescue.
• John gets the toxin injected in him while fighting with Charlotte to protect Marlena.
• Bo and Hope arrest Dr. Taylor while Marlena tries to save John (who had a stroke).
• John wakes up and remembers everything!
• Dr. Charlotte Taylor’s last day on DOOL is January 22.
• The Mayor’s killer gets injured in a fight with Rafe. Maggie finds him injured at the pier and brings him to the hospital. Kayla treats him and thinks he looks familiar but can’t quite place him.
• Bo asks for Steve’s help to find the killer. Steve hack’s Stefano’s computer and gets a lead.
• Bo has a vision of Hope shooting someone. He tries to take her off the case and she’s all “hell no!” and then he has a vision of Hope shooting Kayla. Uh oh! Bo and Steve go chasing after them to separate the ladies!
• A possible triangle will form between EJ/Nicole/Brady.
• Kate warns Lucas to keep Sami out of his life.
• Alison Sweeney’s character (Sami) should be around throughout her maternity leave because they’ve taped so far in advance.

Is it just me or is anyone else wanting to vomit over the John and Marlena crap that they are trying to feed us? Barf.
