CSI: Las Vegas thoughts

So I read somewhere that since Grissom left CSI that the ratings have been down… way down… And I thought to myself “that really sucks” but people stopped watching when their favorite left the show. I almost felt bad for them… until I realized that I stopped watching after Grissom left too! I’m just like everyone else. They are basing all their research on people like me! I don’t like Lawrence Fishburn in his new role. I felt it was weird and doesn’t really make sense. Why would an academic like that just leave academia to become an underpaid CSI? Weird. Unbelievable (and not the good kind of unbelievable!) Just a random thought…

I watched the CSI (Las Vegas) from last week and I am really sad. Grissom is leaving. Yes, it was probably time to do that, but when he leaves, it only leaves 2 original CSIs from the beginning of the show. George Eades (hotness that is Nick) and Catherine Willow. I don’t know if it will be a good thing or not for the big bad main CSI to leave… I’m afraid that the ratings will go down and the show will start to tank. However, it might not… What if CSI becomes like ER? Refusing to die!?

I also wasn’t sure how I would feel about the Matrix guy coming on the show and taking over as Level 1 CSI for the team that has just been changed (adding Riley as a CSI). I am enjoying as a college professor teaching the class on serial killers and all that crap but can he really be a CSI? Is it really that easy to change careers and become a scientist?? Very weird. I’m not sure how they are going to transition that business but I guess we’ll find out next episode since it was “TO BE CONTINUED!!!”

So I guess since I haven’t seen the second half of this little saga, my post is…

I’m watching CSI and I just noticed that the Korean-American cop who searched a house is James Kyson Lee (Ando from Heroes)! Go him!

Did He? Or Didn’t He?

So… Did Grissom do the nasty with Lady Heather?? I freaking love her character on CSI. I’ve been bored lately with the show. I don’t know if I like the new CSI girl. She’s kinda like the blonde lady from the CSI: Miami and I’m not her biggest fan. I guess only time will tell. I’m not looking forward to Grissom leaving CSI and the guy from the Matrix taking over. Anyone else feel the same way?

So I’m guessing that this is to be continued and we’ll learn about the end next time? I don’t really understand what they were going for with this episode. There was lots of speculation and dead ends and leads that lead to nothing… so does this mean that we have to watch these people again?

RIP Warrick

I finally watched the season premiere of CSI. After watching all the previews and reading a few forums about the season opener, I thought it would be more interesting. I thought there might be a bit more suspense. Of course, we all knew who did it to start off with so there wasn’t really a mystery at all. It was a bit weird for CSI. I thought that the actors did a great job of showing their grief for their friend dying. I think it’s a shame that Warrick had to die but the actor who played him was apparently fired and it’s good for the ratings. I’m looking forward to seeing if they replace Warrick… and if they do, who’s the replacement? Will he/she fit in with the rest of the crew? Will we see more of the mourning process from the other characters as the season goes on?
