CSI: Las Vegas thoughts

May 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment

So I read somewhere that since Grissom left CSI that the ratings have been down… way down… And I thought to myself “that really sucks” but people stopped watching when their favorite left the show. I almost felt bad for them… until I realized that I stopped watching after Grissom left too! I’m just like everyone else. They are basing all their research on people like me! I don’t like Lawrence Fishburn in his new role. I felt it was weird and doesn’t really make sense. Why would an academic like that just leave academia to become an underpaid CSI? Weird. Unbelievable (and not the good kind of unbelievable!) Just a random thought…

PS: Did I already post about this??

CSI:NY finale

May 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I’ve been posting so much about finales that I’m starting to get sad. What the heck am I going to do all summer!?

OK… so CSI:NY had a somewhat decent finale. I watched as Jessica Angel was shot and I honestly thought she would survive. I thought they would drag it out and we’d think she’s dying the entire episode and then on the season premiere that she would be alive! Nuh uh…. instead, they killed her and they made her killers cop killers. Uh oh! So the team gets together and tries to find the kidnappers/killers. Lots of stuff happens. Flack is acting like a crazy person and somehow isn’t taken off the case (what is with cops and protocol on tv??) They finally find the kidnappers and Flack goes all psycho and shoots the guy who killed his girlfriend. Of course, nobody saw this and he gets away with it.

The team is then sad and meets up at a bar to remember Jessica and all that jazz… As they are all lifting their glasses a car pulls up next to the bar they are in and the window rolls down… at this point, I’m screaming in my living room “it’s going to be a drive by!!!” and my husband is all “shut up!” and then of course, there’s a drive by. End of episode.

So now we have to wonder… did anyone get hit by the bagillion bullets that came out? Did anyone else die? Did Flack go be with Jessica? The episode was kinda boring… but the last minute was awesome. Can’t wait to see what happened!

Week 2

May 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I apologize for posting late but my work internet has been all F’ed up and I haven’t been able to get online at all! What a shame!

Anywho! Jillian had her second week as the bachelorette and it was somewhat interesting. She had a group date with a bunch of guys to play basketball. That was kinda fun. I loved the Harlem Globetrotters coming and playing the men. They are so babyish!

She also had a dinner with Wes, the biggest douchebag on earth… and I thought she felt uncomfortable with him. I wish she had sent him home but instead she gave him a rose. Honestly, I don’t know what she sees in him. He’s creepy and tries too hard to promote himself. He also stole Jillian away from another dude at the cocktail party when he already had a rose. Not cool.

At the final elimination, she got rid of 4 guys… I can’t remember who they are but I know that the British guy was one of them. I think he was only kept the first time because he had an accent. The last guy to leave had really crazy looking eyebrows and I thought he was going to cry… Dude, it’s only been 2 weeks, chill out!

I had a few thoughts that I wanted to share about the men that are currently on the show. As the season progresses, we’ll learn more about them but so far I freaking ADORE David. He’s a total jerk and a man’s man… which I think is hilarious in this process. He stirs the pot and acts like a complete dick but it’s really entertaining. That’s what TV is all about, right? I loved how in the previews he called Juan a cheese-ass. OMG. I nearly died laughing and I’ve been calling people cheese-asses since I heard it. I love it. Also, I completely agree that Juan is a cheese-ass. He’s so fake and girly. I understand that some men are sensitive and all that crap… but seriously, this guy needs to cool it with the fake sensitive stuff. “When we were on the beach and the sun was setting, your eyes were sooooooooo green!” bla bla bla. He’s so full of shit, it’s not even funny. During the cocktail party, the men voted for Juan to leave and of course Jillian saved him. I don’t know why she did it but she did. Sadness.

I can’t wait til next week… and I also can’t believe that the men are already smooching with Jillian. Very surprising to me.

Criminal Minds season finale

May 22, 2009 · 1 Comment

So my sister sents me a text that says “OMG Criminal Minds… OMG! WTF!?!” and she twitters about it and I’m like “hmmm… maybe I should rush home and watch the finale!

I started to watch the finale last night around 10pm. I was afraid it would keep me up late (which it did) and that it wouldn’t be worth it… and I’m not sure how I feel about it.

So the episode was about a serial killer (a Canadian one at that!) who controls his mentally disabled brother into doing his dirty work… He’s paralyzed from the neck down and he’s a crazy mess. Apparently he has smuggled many people over the Canadian border from Detroit and then does scientific experiments with them. He then feeds them to his pigs (he lives on a pig farm). Anywho… they find out that the brother is not right in the head and that the quadraplegic in the bed is the culprit… who then gets shot by the brother of one of the victims. Bla bla bla. It was ok but I don’t think it needed to be 2 hours.

Now the ending is the part that is so “OMG! WTF!?” Aaron Hotchner goes home after wondering how much more of this horrible crap his team can take… and as he’s about to take a drink a masked killer steps out from behind him, tells him that he should have made a deal and there’s a shot fired (although we don’t know who fired the shot or who was shot).

Ok… so that person with the mask is a serial killer from a few episodes ago. He’s the one who goes after the people on the side of the road, I believe, and Hotchner wasn’t willing to make a deal with him and he escaped prison. I think that’s what he did. Anywho… my husband has been thinking about his killer since he escaped prison because every single episode since he got away, Patrick has been saying “is that the killer who got away!?” Finally, he got his wish and the guy came back for the finale.

My guess is that Hotchner is not dead and he’ll be in a coma or something when the season restarts and then they’ll go after the dude. Eh. I don’t really care if Hotchner dies or not so it’s cool. I kinda think of David Rossi as the boss of the group.

Side note: the killer is from Boston. :)

Second side note: Thomas Gibson, the actor who plays Hotchner, lives in San Antonio, TX.

The Bachelorette begins!

May 21, 2009 · 1 Comment

Monday was the season premiere of Jillian’s Bachelorette season. Huzzah! I’ve been waiting to see what happens with her and I’m so excited to find out!

Jillian is back after being jilted by Jason. Bla bla bla… Old news. She got to meet her 25 men… and then the twist! She gets 5 extra! She has 30 men!

She sent 10 home and I’m so happy that she sent that weird lawyer from New York home because he thought he was hot shit and he was just ugly and obnoxious. :)

There isn’t much to report yet because we don’t really know anything about anyone… but I am pleased to report that the men are acting like children and already fighting over her. I love it. I also enjoyed the previews for the season and how a couple of the men are there and they have girlfriends at home!!! One guy also is apparently on the show in order to be the next Bachelor! How insane is that!? I’m looking forward to the drama. This show is so awful that it’s awesome!

Finale post

May 21, 2009 · Leave a Comment

At first I was going to write a post for each show’s finale but I’ve been watching so many and not posting that I figured I’d put them all together there… So here goes!

Gossip Girl: First, I want to talk about the flash back episode. I didn’t enjoy the scenes with Lily as a young girl at all. I thought they were kinda boring and I didn’t like her relationship with her sister since we clearly don’t see it now and I feel like it’s all fake. I am happy that they ditched the new spin off with young Lily. Lame.

Ok. Season finale. Serena acts like a huge twat at graduation because someone said that she would be irrelevant next year when she goes to college. I think Serena is the most BORING person on Gossip Girl so I wouldn’t mind if she went to Brown and never came back. Strangely, she’s the only one who’s really leaving town next year! Blair tells Chuck that she loves him and right as he’s about to tell her the same thing, Gossip Girl tells everyone how Chuck slept with Vanessa and Blair slept with Jack (Chuck’s uncle). Uh oh! So they have a falling out and Chuck leaves in a huff. Graduation continues as usual. Blair blames Serena’s ugly face for all the problems with Gossip Girl. Finally, they find out that Gossip Girl is following them to college. Huzzah? Chuck also declares his love to Blair after he can’t get her out of his head. The “cliffhanger” at the end is Serena going off to find her father. Dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnn… Lame. See you next year in college.

The Mentalist: Red John is back in town and is trying to trap Patrick Jane. Patrick is acting like a complete ass face and the episode barely had any fun in it. Turns out that Red John had an accomplice and they kidnapped 2 teens. They killed one and the other was a prize for the accomplice. Patrick even picks up a gun to protect Lisbon in this episode. He looks devastated that he did it but he killed someone. I was really hoping for a bit more of a light hearted episode but I guess it is the season finale and all… looks like Red John will be back next year. I don’t really care as long as Simon Baker’s hotness returns as well!

NCIS: Dinozzo goes to Ziva’s apartment to question her about Rivkin… and then he proceeds to shoot and kill him. Oops. Ziva freaks out and before she knows what’s going down even tried to get Rivkin out of the country. Unfortunately, this means that the team must go to Tel Aviv in order to put stuff back in place. The dad from the OC is Ziva’s father and he acts all macho. Ziva has a huge conflict with Dinozzo and no longer trusts him. She feels like she has been betrayed by everyone except Gibbs. In the end, they find out that Rivkin was rogue and was doing dumb shit… but that there was no way to protect him… Oh wait… was he rogue or was he working for Ziva’s father? Hmmm… Well, he was trying to help Ziva’s dad find out about a terrorist cell in Africa and Abby does her magic and gets the info. As the director gives him the info, the team is getting back on a plane to the states. Ziva makes Gibbs choose between her and Dinozzo and he chooses Dinozzo (duh… he’s American and in the NCIS… unlike her!) She looks disappointed and the team goes back without her. Everyone’s sad that Ziva is not in Washington with them… and then they flash to Ziva on a ship doing her work. Her father is in his office thinking about her as well (maybe?) Then they flash to Dinozzo waiting for Ziva to call or thinking about calling her and he tells Gibbs that she’ll call when she’s ready. The ending scene is a couple men beating someone who’s tied up asking “Tell us everything you know about NCIS” and Ziva’s face is all busted up. Will she be back next year? Will she now know that she can trust NCIS and not her father?

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Catherine Hickland is going to be breaking free of Statesville in Llanview and is rejoining the cast as Lindsay Rappaport this summer! I am SO excited.
