New Year’s Resolution

Confession time!

Alright…. I know that reality TV is the worst garbage ever… but I’ve started to watch Momma’s Boys and I’m completely addicted. These meddling mothers are completely ridiculous. The “momma’s boys” are like 21 years old! What kind of woman would want to date a 21 year old boy? That’s just ridiculous! I’m 25 years old and I don’t even want to be around 21 year olds and I work with a bunch of them at Harvard!!!

So other than the silly young boys and crazy mothers, the girls are absolutely SKANKY! A few of them have posed in nudie magazines and I’m not talking about tasteful stuff, I’m talking about “check out my vag” stuff. LOL it’s so ridiculous! The girls live with the mothers and they are trying to get dates with the boys (two of them are cute, one of them looks really wonky). The mothers get involved and there’s lights of fighting involved. Really stupid. Really entertaining. So I might be posting about this show as it progresses. I have no idea what came over me to watch this show in the first place but HOORAY for doing it!

A few thoughts…

I’ve been watching Days of our Lives with my sister-in-law who is not a soap watcher and I had a few thoughts…

• Nicole is now trying to get a baby from Dr. Bakker. I get it. She’ll probably end up with Sami’s baby so that it’s still EJ’s baby and sadly for Sami, it is still being raised by the DiMera’s… However, can’t Nicole just go to the doctor and pretend that she just now had a miscarriage? Couldn’t she just go and have the doctor say that she lost the baby??? I don’t get it. What happened to the bright Nicole we used to know?
• EJ doesn’t want to have Nicole sign a prenup. WHAT? Wouldn’t he think that it’s a good precaution to take simply because Nicole has a history of wanting to get her hands on the loot? Doesn’t make sense to me regardless of her history and how he knows that she’s been abused by other men. He’s clearly not abusing her so she shouldn’t have a problem signing it. (FYI, I’m broke and married with no prenup!)
• John Black… Oh John… They are totally going to give him his memory back, aren’t they? They are going to make him remember everything and then he’s going to run back in the arms of Marlena and they will live happily ever after… on another soap. I hate you Days for doing this. I really like John. I haven’t seen the original “nice” John but I like this weirdo John. He’s entertaining. I hate that he’s leaving.
• Philip and Melanie. Do they like each other? Is this a case of high school-ish behavior? Is Melanie being mean to him just to make him mad because she likes him? Is he acting like a fool because he’s into her? And why are they putting Stephanie in the middle of it all when she’s just a huge nuisance in general?
• Brady. He’s pretty… but can’t they give him an interesting story? I think him working at Titan is really boring.
• Bo Brady. Is he psychic? What’s the deal with that Theo finding business?
• Sami and Rafe… is this supposed to be romantic? Is she really going to pretend that the baby is his? Is this how they are going to make them a couple when the killer is found and arrested?
• Roman Brady. I am so glad that I haven’t had to look at that man in a while because he is the WORST actor on the show. He is so monotone and has only one facial expression. Thank goodness he doesn’t have a story right now!
• Chelsea and Max. Ew.
• Kate/Dan/Chloe/Lucas rectangle. Gross and weird. Didn’t they already do the relationship that covers different generations of that family with Chelsea and Kate? Can’t they just leave it alone? I understand that Lucas and Chloe are forced and weird but if I have to watch another flashback of Dr. Pervert feeling up Chloe’s lymph nodes, I might vomit. Or throw a remote at my TV!!! Just break everyone up already and send Dan away from Salem!!

That’s all I have right now… I know I’ve been MIA lately due to the holidays but I thought I would put this post up because I’ve been thinking about the weirdness that is Days these days. I hope your holidays are all going well!

Baby #3 for Grey’s star

Chyler Leigh (Lexie Grey on Grey’s Anatomy) is expecting her 3rd child! Who knew she had 2 other children she looks like she’s 20 years old!!!!!

OLTL Promo – New Years

Paint-Over!

Jennifer Bertrand, the winner of Design Star season 3 is going to premiere her show “Paint-Over!” on HGTV on January 1st. They now have a few videos up on the website (click here to see them) to show us a sneak peek of othe show. Sadly, I think it looks awful and that makes me realize that maybe Design Star just isn’t the right kind of reality show. Jennifer was ok on Design Star but I find her a bit monotone and boring in the videos. Sucks.

Sorry for my disappearance lately… there hasn’t been much on TV and it’s the holidays! So I’ve been enjoying the family and the food so I haven’t been enjoying much TV. I promise I’ll be back for my January premieres!

Not everything is as it seems

I really heart Dirty Sexy Money and I’ll be sad to see it go.

I’m not sure if the episode from this week is the last one that we’ll ever get to see… but I truly hope that isn’t the case!

Jeremy has been faking his amnesia! Genius! I love him and Nola together and I think they would be a great team in finding her brother. I HATE that Simon Elder is calling all the shots on this show and is so sleazy. It’s just gross.

Then Brian tells Nick that he thinks their father is still alive and faked his death so that he can get away from the Darling family… VERY interesting. I would totally love to see that happen because they would then bring back some flashbacks and maybe Trevor St. John (Todd Manning on OLTL) would portray him again. I’d love that.

Oy. I’m so sad that this show has been cancelled! What a shame!

Confession!

I have a confession to make! I haven’t been feeling like watching much TV once I get home from work these days so I haven’t! I haven’t seen any Days of our Lives OR One Life to Live episodes for the entire week! And here’s my real confession… I don’t really mind!

I felt weird not feeling sad about missing so much Days and OLTL… but I’m not really sad. Why? Here’s why:

Days:

• Sami and Rafe are not believable at all. If an agent was discovered or made, he would NEVER go back to the house where they were hiding the witness! It’s so stupid! And then they have Sami sewing up his wound? That’s just ridiculous! Why didn’t they just have the other agent woman come back and get him help? Stupid.
• Melanie, Philip, and Stephanie triangle. Really? Philip with a 18 year old chick? I think not.
• Bo hit his head… now he’s going to turn into a crazy and he’ll end up leaving his job for something else because he thinks something’s wrong with him. I can just tell.
• Nicole is a weird needy girl that underwent some kind of personality transplant. What’s up with that? Where’s the fun spunky girl from BEFORE the pregnancy?
• Baby switch. I can see it coming… and I’m not looking forward to it.

OLTL:

• Natalie and Jared. They make me want to vomit. You know they are going to end up having a “goodbye sex” baby soon.
• We’re going to have to watch Starr and Cole get back together.
• John and Blair. Barfalicious.
• Courtroom action. Nora is the WORST attorney EVER. She should be fired. She’s so crooked and retarded, it’s not even funny.
• Marty. She’s a total clown now. She sits there saying over and over and over how she wants to hurt Todd the way he hurt her… but she can’t. There’s no way that she can have his memory erased in a big accident and then nurse him back to health and then sleep with him… only to have him realize that she raped him before. Duh. It’s not possible. And why is she always talking to herself? It’s stupid. I hate it when soap characters talk to themselves!
• Marty and Cole trying to regain the memories. Snoozefest.
• Vanessa and Cristian. They make me sick. The Vanessa/Cris/Sarah triangle is also very icky and I don’t like watching it. It’s bad enough that they are all HORRIBLE actors, and now we have to watch them in scenes all together? Argh. It hurts my head thinking about it.
• Lola/Langston/Markko. You know it’s coming. That silly triangle. It’s silly and the actress who plays Lola is a complete joke.
• Baby switch. NOT AGAIN….

The only reason I actually like watching OLTL right now is Brody and Jessica in the looney bin… except that he brought Tess out of her by accident (and I can’t stand watching that clown)…. and Todd finally standing up for himself and getting off on the charges.
