On another note…

Gossip Girl last week previewed both Bree Williamson (Jessica on OLTL) and Melissa Fumero (ex-Adrianna on OLTL) and it kicked ass. I LOVE watching BW acting like a high class call girl and Melissa was an awesome college snob. Can’t wait to see what they do with this! As for the rest of the storylines on this show, they pretty much suck. Sorry, GG, you aren’t showing us your best work!

Bones is back! I feel like the show has been gone forever and now it’s finally back. there was an episode last week and I was pretty excited about it. I was pretty interested in the storyline about Brennan’s new book and am glad that she’s learning that it’s all about the people in her books and that’s what sells. As for her and Booth, they need to get it on already! Also, thank you for the Sweets stuff. It was cute.

Ugly Betty has been the bane of my existence lately. My DVR doesn’t record it for some reason and it’ll only tape like 1 minute of the show and then I have to watch it online… Normally this wouldn’t be a problem but I have the world’s slowest internet EVER since we downgraded and it buffers about 2o times an hour. It makes me want to shoot myself in the face but I definitely want to watch the final episodes before I say goodbye to Betty. I bet she’ll be a bombshell when she leaves. And, yes, I totally loved her “dream” about being the beautiful sister. It kicked ass! It was nice to see America Ferrera dressed up and dolled up. Thanks for that, TPTB at UB.

I haven’t watched much else lately but I’ll be back to talk about Y&R and OLTL soon because lots is going on and it’s fun to keep up! Take it easy and eat lots of good food. I know it’s not related to TV, but it’s just as important!

A little Genoa City recap

Not only do I visit Llanview daily, I have also been traveling to Genoa City. After reading over and over and over that Y&R is the best soap on earth, I thought I would tune in. Not to mention that the only other person in my office watched it and it would give us something to talk about! So I started watching and now I’m officially hooked. They are the BEST right now. I feel like there’s a cliffhanger every other episode and it leaves me wanting more. More more more! It’s all I can think about after I finish an episode! Here are a few thoughts…

• Baby switch. It took a long time to come out but I’m glad it’s finally out. Now I’m interested to see what’s going to happen with my Phyllis and Nick. Now don’t get me wrong… I don’t love Nick. I love Phyllis. This means that I’m always rooting for her, regardless of who she’s with. I hope she and Nick make it just because that’s what Phyllis wants. She’s an insanely beautiful woman who’s fucking crazy and awesome. I love it. Perfect soap character.
• Emily/Patty switch. Oh God… Please make it stop. You know what makes this storyline so unbearable? The fact that Patty talks to Emily’s portrait. Seriously, Patty? Get a grip. Either you are in it or you aren’t. Pull yourself together if you want this to work. Also, why the FUCK are they making Jack out to be an idiot!? Are you telling me that there are absolutely no physical differences between the two women? All their moles are exactly the same? Patty was in a mental hospital and she has the exact same weight and tone as Emily? Wow. TPTB really think that we (and Jack) are idiots.
• Daisy/Ryder fiasco. Someone please tone Daisy down. She’s supposed to be this insane biatch and totally is but do we really need to see her swishing around so weirdly while she’s doing it? And what’s with the bloody whisper voice? Argh! Speak up woman! And Ryder needs to grow some cojones and free Jana. You can see that he wants to do it… and we all want him to do it. So just do it already.
• Billy and Victoria. Jackpot. I want to see more. I know that many are unhappy with this pairing but I think it’s hot and the actors have chemistry. They have more chemistry than JT and Victoria do (which is weird since the actors are married in real life!)
• Teen scene. Thank you for moving the teens to Paris. So happy about this. If only they’d do it on OLTL…
• Michael and Lauren sabotage. Is it Sheila? Isn’t it Sheila? At least let us see who it is so that we aren’t wondering with M&L! I’d like to do a bit more yelling at the TV if possible. Thanks.
• Kay loses Chancellor. I’m glad we didn’t have to watch much more of the corporate world but I definitely thought that it was a well planned storyline and that it came to an end fairly well. Tucker is a great son for Kay and the recast is AMAZING. I love Stephen Nichols and couldn’t be happier that he’s plastered all over my screen.
• Speaking of Tucker… is it me or does he have hot chemistry with Ashley?!? I thought I might like Ashley and Neil but I totally freaking love her with Tucker. Make it happen Maria Arena Bell. Pretty please!
• Adam. Oh Adam. I LOVE him. I love that he’s a sociopath. I love that he still thinks he can get Sharon back. I love that he’s scheming from his hospital bed. I love that he realized that “Emily” is Patty. I love everything about him… especially that sometimes he’s blind and sometimes he’s not! Haha! I’m so pissed that he’s leaving the canvas because Michael Muhney is hot and I want to see more of him.

Damn, this show has so many little storylines within the big ones that it’s impossible to cover them all. Isn’t that what a soap is supposed to be all about? I LOVE IT! This is what it’s all supposed to be like. Anyway, there’s tons of potential for upcoming stories and strangely, this is one show that I don’t read spoilers. I have NO IDEA what is coming up unless it’s in Soap Opera Digest. Yup. One show that I don’t search for spoilers. Can you believe it!? Keep it up Y&R. You’ve converted me!

A little Llanview recap

I know that I’ve been away from the blog… but I have been in Llanview for 1 hour per day since I last posted… so don’t worry, I’m all over it! Here are a few thoughts on the shiz that’s going on over there.

• Mitch Lawrence. I love you. I hate you. I hope you die soon. See you in 5 years when you are resurrected from the dead again.
• Alison Perkins. I hope this secret you have is better than just Schuyler and Rex being switched. Why couldn’t they have been twins like Natalie and Jessica? It would have been more ridiculous and silly and they are clearly brothers. At least they’ve been making us believe it. Whatev. Get off my screen.
• Jessica is a high schooler again. Watching her bounce around and throw herself all over Cristian makes me want to FF through her scenes. I have never FFed through Jessica’s stuff and now I can’t wait til it’s over. I hope this crap is going to be fixed soon.
• Natalie and John. Yawn. Someone kill John McDoucheBag. Please.
• Marty is preggers. Why would they make her preggers when her son has a kid that would be older than her baby? Very creepy and Marty and John don’t even have a relationship that we can root for so I don’t see why they’d push this on the viewers.
• Viki and Charlie. Glad they are having problems. Sad that Charlie is a dbag but happy that Viki is taking it like a champ. Sadly, they are going to do the whole Viki/Charlie/Dorian triangle and I’m not excited about it at all.
• Mayor Dorian. Thank you for the break. I don’t want to see her for a while. Her shrieking makes me want to stab a pencil in my ears.
• Kelly Cramer. Welcome back. I was tired of the other Cramer biznatches.
• Starr. You are a teenager. Act like one and drop the Mother Theresa act. Also, you aren’t 40 so stop acting like it.
• Langston. Yes, she’s stepping out on Markko but do they have to dumb him down and make him look like the victim? Couldn’t he just find out and react in private and then scheme some revenge with Hannah? I mean, seriously! Those girls look exactly alike! A happy little switcheroo would be awesome and then have Ford leave and have Langston all alone with an STD. Sweet!
• Todd. I love you. As always. Don’t change.
• Fish and Kyle. WHY ARE THEY LEAVING!? I’m pretty upset that TPTB have gotten rid of these boys and are making them raise Sierra Rose somewhere else. That’s bullshit and it’s a huge cop out. Why couldn’t the boys raise their kid in Llanview? Why are they another Michael and Marcie? Big mistake. HUGE mistake.
• Roxy. Thank you for fleshing out this character but can she go to rehab or something? I need to see a little more depth. She’s still a flaky bimbo and I want to see more. Why not make her find a lover in town? Remember the story of her and Nigel? That was entertaining!
• Rex and Gigi. I used to love them. Now I don’t. Please get off my screen. Hopefully Schuyler will kill Gigi when he kidnaps her. I wish.
• Blair and Elijah. HOT! Keep it up!

I’ve also been digging that every show that I watched that is filmed in NYC is filled with my OLTL actors! I loved seeing Scott Evans on Law & Order. That fake tattoo on his neck cracked me up so much. And watching Bree Williamson on Gossip Girl is like a breath of fresh air. I hope that Melissa Fumero will also get to come back after last week’s episode! I see many amazing things in her future! Not to mention that she’s pretty hot stuff! I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with all the peeps getting fired… I just hope that they don’t bring on a bunch of douchey kids to play with Starr and Cole. Can’t we get a break from them and see more Viki? Jeez… Enough with the fucking teens!

Update

Wow… I kinda left the blogging world for a bit and made it seem like I died in surgery. I totally didn’t. I swear I’m still alive! I had my gallbladder removed for all of you who care. My surgeon said that gallbladder problems normally happen to fat females in their forties… I’m one of those (female, FYI) so she was surprised. But I’m now happily eating butter for dinner so fear not for me!

I am currently in school to become a chef and it’s taking up a lot of my time… not to mention the 30 hour a week job that I also have that keeps me in a kitchen for the other half of my life! And my poor husband never gets to see me. It’s just a lovely place for me right now. Very stressful but very fun. I promise I’ll be better and posting. Hopefully I haven’t lost all my readers… Let me know if you are out there and still reading. I could use a little encouragement!

Alright… that’s all for my update but I’ll post a little something about my soaps in a minute in a different post.

Surgery

I had surgery on Tuesday and I’m recovering so I hope to be blogging again soon about TV and all that other fun stuff! Taking it easy for now! Peace.

Many thoughts on many shows

So I have totally been watching TV, I promise… I am just not glued to my computer anymore. I guess that could be a good thing or a bad thing. I do miss listening to the radio all day and watching so many TV shows but I am also glad to be moving around more and losing weight from simply not being sitting around all day. So… here are a few thoughts on some shows I’ve been watching and a few thoughts on other stuff I’m sure you want to read about…

Heroes:

• I love Peter Petrelli. Honestly, without him, I wouldn’t watch the show.
• I read that they are going to kill off a Hero this season and I think it’ll be Hiro. It’s supposed to be one of the original heroes and that it’ll affect quite a few people. Makes me kinda sad but Hiro’s been getting pretty darn annoying lately. At least we haven’t had to watch Ando… which kinda makes things better.
• Claire’s lesbian kiss was weird and they didn’t even address it after it happened. Very very weird. Also probably unnecessary. Anyone else with me on that one? If they are going to develop a gay storyline, they should do it right, not sloppy.
• Sylar. WELCOME BACK BABY! I love Sylar and I’m happy that he’s having a come back.
• I think the carnival people are a bit freaky and weird and I’m not sure if I like them yet. That head leader guy seems like a real douche. I don’t know if I think that because I’m supposed to think that or if it’s just something that I’m catching that others don’t agree on. Eh…
• Can’t wait til tonight’s Halloween episode!

Castle:

• I stopped watching Castle after the 2nd episode of the season and I don’t even miss it. I do follow Nathan Fillion on Twitter so I guess that makes it OK for me to quit. Sorry Nathan. I loved you on OLTL but Castle is just another boring procedural show.

90210:

• I haven’t seen a single episode this season nor have I heard anything about any of the episodes. I’m guessing that it’s not that interesting… which doesn’t surprise me since the first season was only so-so.

Bones:

• Are we ever going to get some Booth and Brennan action? I know that everyone said that Booth would get over his love for Brennan but it doesn’t look like it’s going away. Will it ever go away? Are we ever going to see them together?
• I LOVED the storyline about the devout muslim who faked an accent. How awesome was that!? Living in a state where religious is pretty much ridiculed, I completely understand why someone would do that. I hate it when people criticize my faith. Who are they to decide what I should believe in? Yay writers of that episode!
• Annoying screechy girl is back. You know the one, the psychiatrist’s girlfriend. I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing but I did have a good laugh when Bones and that girl were going a bit apeshit over the cover of some anthropological magazine. Lovely entertainment.

Criminal Minds:

• I’m tired of Hotchner. I wish he’d leave the show. Maybe he can go where his ex-wife and kid are? I’d really like that.
• The girl who plays JJ has lost weight. She looks lovely. I also love the bangs on her.

CSI:NY:

• I find it very unbelievable when characters on TV are paralyzed and the next day they are walking with a cane. Get real folks. It’s not very believable at allllllllllll… Ugh!
• I should quit this show because it’s getting pretty lame. Sad!

Gossip Girl:

• I heard that the show has lost a lot of viewers. It doesn’t surprise me. It’s like Dawson’s Creek. It does well when they are in high school and then when they go to college, it’s totally lame.
• Blair and Chuck are pretty boring. Blair manipulates Chuck, Chuck manipulates Blair… what else is new?
• Serena is still lame and retarded. Why do they write her as a complete idiot?
• I like Hilary Duff’s character. I hope she’s around all season.

Law & Order: SVU:

• Yay the evil witch DA is gone! I hated her from the moment she arrived. Of course, my husband said that I was supposed to hate her… so I guess I did a good job!
• I would like a few Finn and Munch episodes, please. Give Olivia and Elliott a break please!

Lie to Me:

• The season has been OK. I could probably quit this show too because it’s not that awesome.
• Are the two owners of the Lightman group going to hook up? I think they want each other deep deep down inside. Anyone else with me on that one?

Mad Men:

• Holy smokies! This show is so freaking awesome.
• I love to hate Don Draper but I also hate to love him! It’s so frustrating!
• I wish Betty would have slept with that politician guy. It would have been so nice to see after watching Don cheat on her time and time again.
• I don’t like the name Eugene either so I don’t blame Don for hating it.
• Does anyone else think that Don hates Roger because Roger is just an older version of Don? Don probably sees himself in Roger in the mistakes that he’s made. Can’t wait to see that blow up!
• There are only 2 episodes left and I haven’t even watched the one from last night. What the heck am I waiting for?

Medium:

• I finally started watching the new CBS season of Medium. It’s ok. Another show that I could probably drop. Honestly, why do I keep saying that and I don’t actually drop them?
• Patricia Arquette has new hair.
• The acting is just as unstimulating. Eh.
• I’ll give it a bit longer before I give up.

NCIS:

• Ziva is back and I still love the dynamic that she has with Dinozzo. I wish they’d finally kiss and make up and do the nasty. You know they want to. Has anyone else noticed a theme in pretty much all shows? There’s always a hero and heroine that love each other but don’t admit it. Oh the sexual tension!

Private Practice:

• Violet is annoying with her whole “my baby was cut out of me and I’m crazy now” story. I wish she’d just be cured already. Maybe this week after the trial she’ll look at her kid?
• The dude from Wings is also getting pretty annoying. I liked him better as the playboy. He’s now just a boring dad. Eh. See what kids do to you? It’s not pretty.
• Please give Addison a love interest. Give her that heart surgeon, give her a new man… give her someone. I’m tired of listening to her feel sorry for herself.

The Mentalist:

• Simon Baker is hot. I love him. I would totally have his babies… but the show is getting old real fast.
• I will probably keep watching it though because Simon Baker is hot and I love him and want to have his babies.
• Please not that babies make people boring (see Private Practice notes above) so I don’t really want his babies.
• Simon Baker is hot hot hot.

Ugly Betty:

• At the end of last season, I was ready to give up on Ugly Betty. Happily, the season started and it was better than I anticipated. I like that Betty’s look is changing. I like that her ex is a dorky douche. I like that she’s friends with her old boss. I like that she’s been promoted!
• I still love Mark and that blond chick. Honestly, I can’t think of her name but she’s gorgeous (Becky Newton is the actress). Oy. Anyway, they are still awesome. But I do think that Mark needs some kind of promotion as well. He deserves it.
• Wilhemina’s daughter’s murder storyline is lame. But I’ll take it because the rest is good.
• Will Daniel get another love interest? Hmmmm…

Grey’s Anatomy:

• I like the way they are hiding Ellen Pompeo’s surgery and hope that they can keep it up nicely until her return from maternity leave (which you won’t actually see because they were pretty clever when getting the schedule done)
• I’m happy that Izzie is gone but I’m sad to learn that she’s coming back. Boring!
• Alex needs a new love. I thought I liked him with Izzie but it’s just lame now. They made him into a jerk jerk and not a fun jerk. I liked him with Addison. Too bad she’s in LA and he’s in Seattle. Lame!
• Bailey is not up to the normal standards these days. I wish they’d pull her back together, give her a bit more comedy and let her care again.
• I kinda miss George.
• I still hate the new folks from the other hospital.

I will probably post about my soaps later but my hubby is waiting to hang out and today is his birthday so I guess he deserves a bit of my attention! Take it easy folks and I swear I’ll try and post more often. Maybe I’ll start doing a once a week thing? Mondays maybe? That could totally be easier than writing a post for every show. Hmmm… I might be on to something! Maybe I’ll even start rating the weeks to see which weeks are better for each show!

Funny search

I know I haven’t posted in forever but work has been crazy and I barely even have time to watch TV! I just wanted to say that someone found my blog by searching for “messy pudding fight”. Very interesting…

Since nobody seems to really be following me too much anymore and I’m incredibly busy, I’m thinking about getting rid of the blog. What do you folks out there think? Is there even anyone who reads my stuff?

I’ll post a few thoughts on some shows and we’ll see how it goes. Read on!

No more time!!

As I’ve mentioned, I have a new job and this new job is not a desk job… this means that I have NO time to get online anymore and blog because I’m at work all day, then I get home, make dinner, spend time with the family and am so tired that I just go to sleep after watching some TV. The Beautiful Life Premiere

I was going to start a whole category for this show… but after 2 episodes it has already been canceled. I guess it sucked!

I kinda liked the beautiful people strutting around in a house together and not eating, etc, etc…. but it didn’t survive. Sad story. I think this might have been the first new show to get the axe this season. Let’s see if anything else gets an axe soon. Most likely, the sitcoms will go first because they are so ridiculously silly and not funny. That’s why I don’t watch any of them.

Castle Premiere

The premiere for Castle was a bit like the premiere for The Mentalist. I wasn’t really into it. Yes, last season ended well with Castle going above and beyond and finding a lead on Beckett’s mother’s case… but they didn’t do a very good job of following up with it this season.

I did enjoy the little quips and jokes that Castle comes up with (aka “somebody hates his guts!”) but I felt that it was lacking the same chemistry that it had last season. Why couldn’t the second season be as awesome if not better than the first (kinda like Mad Men!)? Oy… I’m also undecided about keeping this show’s recordings because I wasn’t that into the premiere. Whatever happened to premieres/finales being the most awesome episodes of the season?

Eh… the verdict is still out for this show.
